Accepted methods of payment
In person

Information
Passport Canada does not accept cash or personal cheques.
Debit cards (Interac, Visa Debit or Virtual debit) are not accepted for applications submitted by mail or by a third party.
The exact fee must be specified on cheques and money orders (postal or bank).
You must pay the appropriate fee with your application or it will not be processed.
If you cancel your application or are refused a travel document, you are not eligible for a refund of the service fee. Only the consular fee (C$25), which applies to all adult applications, is refundable.
Administrative fees and applicable interest will be applied to all dishonoured payments.
Fees are subject to change.
A consular fee of C$25 is included in the price of all adult travel documents. Passport Canada has no authority over the use or amount of this fee.
